Cotswold Model Car club is situated on Cotswold Airfield, a private, live 24/7 active airfield. As of 2023 the club have revised guidelines which we require all members and racers to follow when using the club facilities.
Airfield Entry & Exit Protocol
For those who attend Sunday Race days only, (and not Saturday Practice Days) you must be at the entry point between 07:15 and 08:00.
You must stop and enter the gate code at the key pad even if the gate is open already.
Only and only if you know the car directly behind you is a racer can you continue otherwise stop and ensure the gate is fully closed behind you. If you are the car behind still stop to enter the monthly membership code or guest code and wait if you are last in line or don’t know the car behind you. Anyone who knows the code will know how the system works. CCTV is fully operational.
No one is expected to enter into conflict with anyone else who is trying to enter the airfield. If asked please refer them to the airfield security team, who’s phone number is on the gates.
On exit you must also ensure the gate closes behind you before you continue. As above if the car behind is known to you, you may continue, or if no car is behind you wait for the gate to close.
If you inadvertently let someone in and something happens they get hurt something gets stolen the airfield is liable which may affect the clubs future.
You are not to roam around the site due to security reasons. You are to stick to the highlight area's. If you are found out side these area's you will be escorted from the airfield.
